Schaub vs Hasselbeck

Standard

Both are now my nemesis.  Whoever I bench gets more points than the QB I played, other than the one time they tied in points and when I had to play Schaub because Hasselbeck had a bye.  Last week, I was torn on which QB to play because they were playing each other.  All of the facts led to Hasselbeck: coming off a bye, playing at home, Schaub doesn’t have an offensive team with Johnson out, and so on.  So, I went with the facts simply because my gut hasn’t won me anything. Plus, Matthew Berry said that Hasselbeck was the one to go with.  I lost.  The frustrating part was that I lost the week against the #2 team, who I could have beat, because she couldn’t play Tom Brady (bye).  See the history below.  I’m going to stick with Schaub the rest of the season.

PS: Just to note, I love the Texans and cheer them on to win in the real NFL.

Week Schaub Hasselbeck I played
1 10 17 Schaub
2 17 17 Schaub
3 25 18 Hasselbeck
4 9 19 Schaub
5 22 13 Hasselbeck
6 12 Bye Schaub
7 19 6 Hasselbeck

Dang it!!

This week was SUPER hard in Fantasy Football!  I made some gut changes and I shouldn’t have.  Not that I did bad but I’m playing a girl that hasn’t lost yet.  And now?  I’m looking at what it could have been and watching the Cowboys vs Redskins and it could be that if I hadn’t made any changes, I could have possibly won.  UGH!  I know there are a LOT more weeks left but it’s more frustrating when I make the wrong decisions as opposed to the players not playing well or getting hurt.  I did look to see how the other teams did and it seems as though I’m not the only one who made some poor player decisions but the players just sucked it this week, too.  Are they tired already??  Just freaking catch the ball and run it in!  Go straight, not to the side line!

I’m feeling good about next week but I am playing the Candy Striper; and, even though she also has a 1-2 record, she has a tough team and will be bouncing back from 2 consecutive losses.  Her fire will be blowing.  Hopefully for me, it’s all smoke.

Love ya’ Dida!!

I’m a winner!!

I finally won my first fantasy football game!  And, even though it’s only the 2nd week, I’m hoping my team will press on and get a few more ‘W’s.  Amanda, who was in last place going into the week, got a win for this week.  Yay!!  This week the two Rebecca’s play each other.  Her team is pretty good so all I can hope for is injuries, which is pretty mean of me but mama needs some spending cash!!

Good luck to all the other teams playing on the Austin Ladies League or other leagues!!

You can't stop me!

Exhausted!

Fantasy football is exhausting!  But, I love it!  I’m constantly studying my guys, the other teams, WHY DIDN’T I PICK BRADY?!  Ugh!  I wanted him and everyone told me to not pick a QB first.  They’re stupid.  Next time I’m so getting my QB on first.

I love how Jacob’s getting into it.  It’s something we can kind of do together.  One more game left for the week.  I lost my week but faired well over the league…I hope.  Is it Thursday yet?  This will be the longest game I’ve ever played in my life.  Jack and Tiffany’s Trivial Pursuit marathons has nothing on this!

Going to bed…love you all!

And the firsts…

Standard

So yesterday I had a ton of new firsts in my life.  I started my first blog and wrote my first entry, I played my first fantasy football game in my first fantasy football league, and I got my first body scan at the airport.  With all the travelling I do, it’s surprising that I haven’t been scanned before but luckily, I don’t fly to airports that have scanners. Another first? You stand in the scanner and put your hands, fingers pointed upward and out, on top of your head.  It could be your impersonation of a moose or practicing your “nanny-nanny-boo-boo” wave.  After it was over I didn’t feel as violated as I thought but I didn’t see the picture of me.  It’s probably for the best.  I considered asking for a copy of the scan.  I could make it my new blog picture!!

Fantasy? It’s real to me!

Who would have thought that I would be playing Fantasy Football?  My husband doesn’t even play. The league of lovely ladies, some very football savy, some…not so much, are fantastic and I’m looking to make new friends in this venture.  But on to the most important part…Tonight I got 10 points for the Greenbay Defense!  I thought I was a winner and was so excited until I saw that the top two ladies have 28 points.  Can we start over?  HA!

Bring on Sunday!  I’m ready to win!
